Based on the Gospels, St. Paul, and theologians, the Author intends to reexamine the expression "Christs body". Provided that the glorified body points towards a body which lived and died, this article develops six different specifications of the expression "Christs body". Physical body, historical body of Christ, resurrected or glorious body, Eucharistic body, ecclesial body, and, finally, the body of kerigma concerning Christ. This study aims to point out the insufficiency of two formulae: physical or material body, on one hand, and mystical body, on the other, the latter being an inadequate expression of the Church
A partir de los evangelios, la meditación de Pablo y la reflexión de los teólogos, el autor se propone repasar con cierto detenimiento algunos aspectos de la realidad del "cuerpo de Cristo". Dado que el cuerpo glorificado nos remite al cuerpo que vivió y murió, esta colaboración intenta presentar el referente concreto de la expresión "cuerpo de Cristo" según los diversos especificativos que pueden acompañarla. Se indican en total seis fórmulas: el cuerpo físico de Cristo, el cuerpo histórico de Cristo -o su cuerpo de historia-, el cuerpo resucitado o glorioso, el cuerpo eucarístico, el cuerpo eclesial, y, finalmente, el cuerpo del kerigma relativo a Cristo. El estudio señala la insuficiencia de dos designaciones, cuerpo físico" o "cuerpo material" y "cuerpo místico", para abarcar la variedad de aspectos, así como la inadecuación de la segunda fórmula para caracterizar a la Iglesia
