(In)satisfacción de necesidades humanas de personas mayores durante la Pandemia de la Covid-19

The article responds to a descriptive - analytical research on human needs and quality of life of older adults in the pandemic context of COVID-19. The definitions and theoretical elaborations coming mainly from the social sciences were taken. The objective of the study is to analyze the (dis)satisfaction of needs as an expression of the quality of life of a group of older adults in Havana, Cuba, during the pandemic context of COVID - 19. From a mixed methodological perspective (quantitative-qualitative) it was possible to respond to the research problem. The research techniques used were the interview and the questionnaire, applied to a sample of older adults residing in Havana, the second oldest province in Cuba. Among the most important results, it was corroborated that the quality of life of this age group has worsened as a result of the dissatisfaction of notable human needs during the pandemic context and the implementation of theTarea Ordenamiento

El artículo responde a una investigación descriptiva-analítica sobre las necesidades humanas y calidad de vida de personas mayores en el contexto pandémico de la COVID-19. Se tomaron las definiciones y elaboraciones teóricas provenientes fundamentalmente de las ciencias sociales. El objetivo del estudio es analizar la (in)satisfacción de las necesidades como expresión de la calidad de vida de un grupo de personas mayores en La Habana, Cuba, durante el contexto pandémico de la COVID-19. Desde una perspectiva metodológica mixta, (cuantitativa-cualitativa) se pudo dar respuesta a la problemática de investigación. Las técnicas de investigación empleadas fueron la entrevista y el cuestionario, aplicadas a una muestra de personas mayores residentes en La Habana, segunda provincia más envejecida de Cuba. Entre los resultados más importantes, se corroboró que la calidad de vida de este grupo etario ha empeorado a raíz de la insatisfacción de notables necesidades humanas durante el contexto pandémico y de la implementación de la tarea ordenamiento
