El presente artículo reflexiona sobre las relaciones entre masculinidad hegemónica, tecnologías y masturbación. Se estableceque esta práctica sexual se ha visto determinada por una serie de poderes y "bucles de mitos" que, especialmente afectando a hombres cis- hétero, han coartado las posibilidades emancipatorias del autoplacer. El texto otorga una panorámica histórica general para revisar diferencias de género relevantes en lo que respecta a la masturbación, y se centra específicamente en el caso chileno, sus tradiciones, normas, valoraciones y estereotipos para revisar la emergencia de prácticas masturbatorias masculinas hetegemónicas. Estas y sus performatividades revelarán una serie de incongruencias que retrotraen al cuerpo a mandatos asociados a un paradigma del control, los cuales dificultan un óptimo desarrollo tanto de la autoerótica como de la sexualidad compartida
This article reflects on the relationships between hegemonic masculinity, technologies and masturbation. It is established that this sexual practice has been determined by a series of powers and "myth loops" that, especially affecting cis-hetero men, have limited the emancipatory possibilities of self-pleasure. The text provides a general historical overview to review relevant gender differences regarding to masturbation, and focuses specifically on the Chilean case, their traditions, norms, evaluations and stereotypes to review the emergence of hegemonic male masturbatory practices. These and their performativities will reveal a series of incongruities that take the body back to mandates associated with a control paradigm, which hinder an optimal development of both autoerotics and shared sexuality
