Abordagem CTS em manuais es...
An educational approach of science in a STS perspective advocates a teaching process focused on the development of students' transversal competences (for example, critical reasoning, problem solving and the application of scientific and technological knowledge in daily situations). This study is a part of a research which had the main goal to evaluate whether 10th year chemistry textbooks, that had been mostly adopted in Portugal, explore the scientific contents and present learning activities that could be related to a STS approach. The study shows that an integrated view of science (in relation to technology and society) is not evident in the textbooks analyzed, which suggests the need of developing school resources with an STS approach by the teachers
A abordagem educativa da Ciência, numa perspectiva Ciência-Tecnologia-Sociedade (CTS), preconiza um ensino centrado no desenvolvimento de competências transversais dos alunos, como, por exemplo, espírito crítico, resolução de problemas, aplicação de conhecimento científico e tecnológico em situações do cotidiano. O presente estudo é parte de uma investigação que teve como objetivo avaliar se Manuais Escolares de Química do 10º ano mais adotados em Portugal exploravam os conteúdos e apresentavam atividades que buscassem o estabelecimento das relações CTS. O estudo mostra que a visão integrada da Ciência, nas suas relações com a Tecnologia e a Sociedade, não era muito evidente nos manuais analisados, o que sugere a necessidade de os professores desenvolverem recursos didáticos com uma orientação CTS
