It is estimated that about 10% - 20% of the world's population has experienced child sexual abuse (CSA). The CSA has been related to short- and long-term consequences depending on the abusive experience and characteristics of the victim. The most documented consequences of ASI, include PTSD, mood and personality disorders, anxiety, somatic and sexual problems, and the risk of revictimization. The aims of this study were a) to analyze the psychopathology associated with CSA in a 45-yearold woman who suffered maintained childhood sexual abuse and different experiences of revictimization throughout her life. b) The magnitude of the therapeutic change after a CognitiveBehavioural treatment focused on trauma. Treatment efficacy was measured through the percentage of nonoverlapping data (PND), the data exceeding the mean (PEM) and the non-overlap of all pairs (NAP). The results allowed to describe the consequences and pathology of CSA and corroborated the therapeutic change on the CSA survivor
Se estima que alrededor del 10% al 20% de la población mundial ha sufrido abuso sexual infantil (ASI). Las víctimas de ASI suelen presentar consecuencias a corto y largo plazo en función de la experiencia abusiva y características de la víctima. Entre las principales consecuencias documentadas del ASI destacan el trastorno de estrés postraumático, trastornos de personalidad, ansiedad, problemas somáticos, sexuales y el riesgo de revictimización. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivos a) dar luz a las consecuencias psicológicas del abuso sexual infantil en la edad adulta con la presentación de un caso clínico y, b) analizar la magnitud del cambio terapéutico tras la aplicación de un tratamiento cognitivo-conductual centrado en el trauma. La eficacia del tratamiento se calculó a partir del tamaño del efecto medido a través del porcentaje de datos no solapados (PND), el porcentaje de datos que superan la media (PEM) y el no solapamiento de todos los pares (NAP). Los resultados permitieron describir las consecuencias y patología en la edad adulta de una víctima de ASI, así como el cambio terapéutico y la eficacia del tratamiento establecido
