Joan Hickson is back as Miss Marple who is holidaying in Barbados, courtesy of her generous nephew. Ever-alert, she spends her first day at the Golden Palm Hotel taking stock of her fellow guests, who range from eccentric millionaire Jason Rafiel to the resident hotel bore, Major Palgrave. When the Major is found dead in his room, Miss Marple is the only one to suspect foul play. Soon more deaths follow and she knows that it is vital for her to crack the case. Following the discovery of a second body, Miss Marple knows she must stop the killer before they strike again.
