Alcances de la Teoría de Vergnaud en la representación de un problema complejo de ingeniería

Con el propósito de implementar tareas que apoyen a un grupo de estudiantes a construir el significado de la convergencia de la serie de Fourier, en esta investigación se estudia su vinculación con un problema relativo a situaciones que describen un fenómeno de transferencia de masa hasta alcanzar el estado de equilibrio. En la realización de las tareas, se lleva a cabo un análisis de las representaciones del grupo sobre cómo entiende y soluciona problemas tocantes a este objeto matemático, retomando aspectos que plantea Vergnaud en estudios de operaciones básicas en la educación primaria. Los resultados destacan concepciones aisladas de ambos contextos y dificultades en el conocimiento de las ecuaciones diferenciales que rigen al fenómeno, así como la implicación de la serie de Fourier

With the aim of implementing tasks to help a group of students to construct the meaning of the convergence of the Fourier series, this research studies its relationship with a problem concerning situations that describe a mass transfer phenomenon until equilibrium is reached. As they performed the tasks, an analysis was made of the groups representations on how they understand and solve problems which touch on this mathematical object, recalling aspects mentioned by Vergnaud in studies on basic operations in primary education. The results bring to light isolated conceptions in both contexts and difficulties in knowledge of differential equations which govern the phenomenon, as well as the consequence of the Fourier series
