The publication of Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato si' has arisen severa/ reactions from different ambits. The present article, underlining its relationship with the teachings of earlier pontiffs and with the so-called Document of Aparecida, emphasizes six fundamental ideas of the encyclica/: the need of a correct comprehension of the concept of dominion, the importance of a human ecology, the persistence in society of the evil of relativism, the insistence of Pope Francis on the notion of creation, the concern f or the natural world as a moral obligation and,fi.nally, the integral ecology option. We end with a brief indication of the paths that Francis propases to abandon the current situation
La publicación de la encíclica Laudato si' del Papa Francisco ha suscitado numerosas reacciones desde distintos ámbitos. El presente artículo, poniendo de relieve su relación con la enseñanza de los pontífices anteriores y con el denominado Documento de Aparecida, destaca seis ideas fundamentales de la encíclica: necesidad de una correcta comprensión del concepto de dominio, importancia de una ecología humana, persistencia en la sociedad del mal del relativismo, insistencia del Papa Francisco en la noción de creación, el cuidado de la naturaleza como obligación moral y, por último, la apuesta por una ecología integral. Por último se indica sumariamente los caminos que Francisco ofrece para salir de la situación actual
