En el presente trabajo pretendemos analizar la situación de la función tutorial en Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato. Con este objetivo realizamos un estudio exploratorio. Hemos elaborado una prueba que ha sido cumplimentada por 824 tutores y tutoras de las distintas comunidades autónomas de España. Manifiestan que se sienten satisfechos en su función tutorial, a la vez que consideran que la misma es bastante importante para la educación del alumnado y el funcionamiento del centro. Se consideran aceptablemente reconocidos en su función por el profesorado y las familias y no así por las administraciones educativas. Entienden que su acción tutorial debe ser tenida en cuenta en su carrera profesional. Las administraciones educativas deberían prestar más atención a la formación de tutores y tutoras y mejorar su situación profesional
The aim of this paper is analyzing the situation of the head teachers function in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate studies. With this objective we carried out an exploratory study. We wrote a test that has been filled in by 824 head teachers from the different autonomous communities of Spain. They state they feel satisfied with their tasks and they consider them quite important for the students education and the school running. They think they are acceptably recognized in their role by teachers and families but not by the educational administrations. They understand that their tasks must be taken into account in their professional career. The educational administrations should pay more attention to the training of head teachers and improve their professional situation
