The present work aims to study the use of spies and watchmen by the city of Valencia in the War of the Two Peters (1356-1366). To do this, after short terminological explanation, we have proceeded to explain the establishment of the surveillance systems of the territory and, mainly, the networks of spies woven in Castilian territory. The underlying issue is whether the city of Valencia made an intelligence system during the conflict with Castilla, an issue that has received a negative response after our analysis, which, however, reveals that initiatives were taken in that direction. The primary sources used for this work have come from the funds of the Arxiu Municipal de Valencia (AMV)
El presente trabajo tiene el propósito de estudiar el empleo de espías y vigías por parte de la ciudad de Valencia en la Guerra de los Dos Pedros (1356-1366). Para ello, tras una serie de precisiones terminológicas, se ha procedido a explicar el establecimiento de los sistemas de vigilancia del territorio y, principalmente, las redes de espías tejidas en territorio castellano. La cuestión que subyace es si la ciudad de Valencia llegó a constituir un sistema de inteligencia durante el conflicto con Castilla, cuestión que ha recibido una respuesta negativa tras nuestro análisis, el cual, no obstante, revela que se tomaron iniciativas en esa dirección. Las fuentes primarias empleadas para este trabajo han procedido de los fondos del Arxiu Municipal de Valencia (AMV)
