This work aimed to design a set of maps showing the tourist attractions of the Mindo parish, Ecuador, which are constituted in support resources to generate a positive impact on the increase of tourist activities of the destination. Methodologically it was addressed as field descriptive research, as the data were collected directly in the study area. Several tours were made that allowed to identify the tourist routes present in the aforementioned parish, as well as the resources and tourist attractions present; from this information were applied tools of geographical information systems that facilitated the elaboration of four maps with the tourist routes of the aforementioned parish
El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo diseñar un conjunto de mapas en los que se muestran los atractivos turísticos de la parroquia Mindo, Ecuador, los cuales se constituyen en recursos de apoyo para generar un impacto positivo en el incremento de las actividades turísticas del destino. Metodológicamente se abordó como una investigación descriptiva de campo, pues los datos fueron recolectados directamente en el área de estudio. Se hicieron varios recorridos que permitieron identificar las rutas turísticas presentes en la mencionada parroquia, así como los recursos y atractivos turísticos presentes; a partir de esa información se aplicaron herramientas de sistemas de información geográfica que facilitaron la elaboración de cuatro mapas con las rutas turísticas de le mencionada parroquia
