Contener con más autoridad y fuerza: la represión del austracismo en los territorios de la Corona de Aragón (1707-1725)

: In the period comprised between the taking of Valencia in 1707 and the Peace of Vienna of 1725, there was strong repression in Spanish territory and control of the support for Austria (austracismo) of the former foral territories. Sedition and diffidence were considered to be the greatest offences, especially since they were committed by nobles and ecclesiastics, both groups with great influence on the masses. Analysis of documents of the period gives the Bourbon view of the conflict and its possible solutions, both administrative and military, which can be summarised as strong control at all levels -ecclesiastical, political and civil- without rejecting direct repression

En la época comprendida entre la toma de Valencia en 1707 y la Paz de Viena de 1725, se produce en el territorio español una fuerte represión y control sobre el austracismo de los antiguos territorios forales. Se consideraban la sedición y difidencia los mayores delitos, sobre todo por estar cometidos por nobles y eclesiásticos, ambos con gran influencia sobre la masa popular. A través del análisis de documentos de la época se aporta a la visión borbónica del conflicto y las posibles soluciones al mismo, tanto administrativas como militares; las cuales se pueden resumir en un fuerte control a todos los niveles, eclesiástico, político y civil, sin descartar represión directa
