Existing environments must be able to satisfy the needs of the people despite the changes they may suffer. In the case of homes, to fulfil criteria for safety, accessibility, safety, functionality and sustainability among others, will be crucial to achieve an appropriate level of quality of life in homes. Today there are more than 25 million homes in Spain, many with more than 30 years old. In this sense, the reforms are one of the mechanisms for changing environments and adapt to the needs (new or not) and thus increase the quality of life of people who live there. For this reason, ANDIMAC, Distributors National Association of Ceramics and Building Materials requested support to IBV in order to develop a new distribution model directed to the needs of people
Los entornos existentes deben satisfacer las necesidades de las personas a pesar de los cambios que éstas puedan experimentar. En el caso de los hogares, el cumplimiento de criterios relativos a la seguridad, accesibilidad, salubridad, funcionalidad y sostenibilidad, entre otros, será determinante para conseguir un nivel adecuado de calidad de vida. Hoy en día existen más de 25 millones de viviendas en España, muchas de ellas con más de 30 años de antigüedad. Las reformas son uno de los mecanismos para modificar los entornos y adecuarlos a las necesidades (nuevas o no) y de esa forma incrementar la calidad de vida de las personas que los habitan. Por esta razón, ANDIMAC, Asociación Nacional de Distribuidores de Cerámica y Materiales para la Construcción, solicitó apoyo al Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) para desarrollar un nuevo modelo de distribución orientado a las necesidades de las personas
