During the coming decades there will be significant changes in the political structure of the State and the international panorama, which will directly affect maritime security/safety. Internally, the search for efficiency will boost the shared use of resources by the different Public Administrations and the effective response to the most serious maritime crises will lead to the creation of a single operational command. From an international perspective, the defense of Spanish sovereign rights in the expanded Continental Shelf and the exponential growth of certain illicit behavior by Sea will enhance the State role, and in particular, the Spanish Navy. Also, the concern for maritime cyber security will be a constant in the second half of the century
Durante las próximas décadas se producirán transformaciones significativas en la estructura política del Estado y el panorama internacional, que incidirán directamente en la seguridad marítima. En nuestro ámbito interno, la búsqueda de la eficiencia impulsará el uso compartido de medios por las distintas Administraciones Públicas y la respuesta eficaz ante las crisis marítimas más graves conducirá a la creación de un mando operativo único. Desde una perspectiva internacional, la defensa de los derechos soberanos españoles en la Plataforma Continental ampliada y el crecimiento exponencial de determinadas conductas ilícitas por vía marítima potenciarán el protagonismo estatal, y en particular, de la Armada Española. Asimismo, la preocupación por la ciberseguridad marítima será una constante en la segunda mitad de la centuria
