Apocalipsis 17: una aproxim...
El capítulo 17 de Apocalipsis es uno de los más complejos para la interpretación en dicho libro de la Biblia. En este se revela un clímax de conflicto entre un modelo de gobierno anti-Dios y otro basado en la voluntad de Dios de "cielo nuevo y tierra nueva". Las palabras utilizas para el gobierno humano, como "Babilonia", es una muestra del carácter urbano de esa intención, mientras que por "ramera" el carácter femenino representa la religiosidad caída contra Dios. La imagen de la mujer montando una bestia supondría la unión de lo religioso y lo político como la mejor y última alternativa de la continuidad histórica de la humanidad. El conteo de las cabezas de la bestia tiene sus variaciones tanto en modelos preteristas, como en futuristas e historicistas. La elección de un conteo histórico en esta investigación, además de otros, no pretende ser dogmático; es solo tentativo. Por lo expuesto, las ideas aportadas esperan incrementar una mejor interpretación y una compresión de este capítulo de Apocalipsis.AbstractRevelation 17 is one of the most complex chapters to interpret in that book of the Bible. It reveals the climax of a conflict between an anti-God model of government and another based on God's will of "new heaven and new earth". The words used for the human government such as "Babylon" are a sample of the urban character of that intention, while by "harlot" the femenine character re-presents fallen religions against God. The image of the woman sitting on a beast would represent the union of religious and political spheres as the best and final alternative of the historical continuity of humanity. The counting of the heads of the beast has its variations in preterist, futurist and historicist models. The choice of an historic counting in this investigation, in addition to others, does not pre-tend to be dogmatic, but only tentative. Therefore, by the ideas presented we hope to increase a better interpretation and understanding of this chapter of Revelation
