The philosophy of Hobbes is oriented in a special way to justify the existence of the State under an absolutist system. For this author, the State is presented as an artificial person who provides security and peace, to a man involved in a state of nature of hatred and war. The anthropological pessimism of modern man, is currently reflected in a reductionism, typical of the crisis of contemporary culture, which is demonstrated in the loss of meaning. For Leonardo Polo, the problem arises when the answer to the attempt to discover what that vital force is, focuses on a single aspect or as Polo says "in only one stripe of that force"; it is at this moment when reductionism is taken into account
La filosofía de Hobbes se encamina de manera especial a justificar la existencia del Estado bajo un sistema absolutista. Para este autor, el Estado se presenta como una persona artificial que proporciona seguridad y paz a un hombre envuelto en un estado de naturaleza de odio y guerra. El pesimismo antropológico del hombre moderno actualmente se refleja en un reduccionismo, característico de la crisis de la cultura contemporánea, que se demuestra en la pérdida de sentido. Para Leonardo Polo, el problema surge cuando la respuesta al intento de descubrir cuál es esa fuerza vital se centra en un solo aspecto o como dice Polo "en tan solo una veta de esa fuerza"; es en este momento que se incurre en reduccionismo
