In this paper we address the ways through which the social Catholicism interpreted the changes that brought with them modern industrial, liberal, and alternatives provided face to a futur worker and Catholic in Argentina. For that purpose, we serve conferences and speeches that are documented in the Diario de Sesiones del Primer Congreso de los Círculos de Obreros de1898. So, delving certain ideas and projects that confronted with othe proposals "utopian" as socialism and liberalism. En el presente trabajo nos proponemos abordar las formas a través de las cuales el catolicismo social interpretó los cambios que trajo aparejados la Modernidad industrial y liberal, y qué alternativas brindó de cara a un futuro obrero y católico en Argentina. Para tal propósito, nos serviremos de conferencias y discursos documentados en el Diario de Sesiones del Primer Congreso de los Círculos de Obreros de 1898. Así, indagaremos ciertas ideas y proyectos que confrontaban con otras propuestas "utópicas" como el socialismo y el liberalismo. En esta disputa, lo que estaba en juego era ofrecer respuestas al problema que representaba la "cuestión social" que traía consigo el mundo moderno e industrial
