This article addresses the issue of tradition constructions through discourse, which contributes to identity formation on historical subjects. Our goal is to problematize the invention of traditions in the State of Acre, relating and confronting the elaborated versions by historiography and the statements produced by political agents in the State. In the analyses of this theme, Hobsbawm (2006) is mentioned for addressing the issue of traditions invention. Halbwachs (2006) and Pollak (1989) are mentioned for the collective and social memories, as well as the communities' creation and traditions derived from this category. Bakhtin (2003) is mentioned for the discursive statements construction and Ranzi (2008) for the social roots in the construction of Acre. Finally, concrete examples are placed to explain the processes that influence the construction of a mass-discourse about one of many Amazons that exists: the "acreana"

Nosso objetivo é problematizar a invenção de tradições no estado do Acre, cujas consequências envolvem a associação entre historiografia e política do governo estatal. Este artículo trata sobre la construcción de tradiciones a través del discurso, las cuales contribuyen para la formación de la identidad de los sujetos históricos. Nuestra intención es construir la invención de tradiciones en el Estado de Acre, relacionando y confrontando las versiones elaboradas por la historiografía y los enunciados elaborados por los agentes políticos del Estado. En el análisis de ese tema, Hobsbawn (2006) es citado por abordar la invención de las tradiciones; Halbwachs (2006) y Pollak (1989), las memorias colectivas y sociales, asi como la formación de comunidades y tradiciones derivadas de esa categoría; Bakhtin (2003), la construcción de enunciados discursivos y Ranzi (2008), las raíces sociales de la formación de Acre. Por fin, se indican ejemplos concretos para explicar los procesos que influyen en la constitución de un discurso intensificado sobre una de las muchas Amazonías que existen: la de Acre
