The purpose of this article is to study the peculiarities of the criminal liability of foreign officials and officials of international organizations when they commit official crimes, and the definition of the criminal prosecution mechanism of these persons. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the fact that for the first time the criminal legal doctrine considers the possibility of corruption offenses prosecution of foreign officials and officials of international organizations according to Russian legislation. Based on the research of Russian and international legislation norms of responsibility for corruption crimes, the authors of the article make conclusions regarding the mechanism of implementation of criminal liability of foreign officials and officials of international organizations. The article emphasizes that the only possible way to deal with an international corruption is the adoption of international acts, according to which the universal principle of the criminal law will be applied for this type of crime
