El humor ha logrado mediante la suspensión de la "realidad predominante" crear otros mundos verbales que amortiguan la dureza de la realidad injusta, asimismo ha sido un factor dominante en la revisión de la historia americana, ya que mediante el recurso de la parodia, la sátira, la carnavalización ha desmitificado el panteón heroico de nuestra historia
