Euskal Zuzenbide Zibilari buruzko ekainaren 25eko 5/2015 Lege berriak aldaketak ekarri ditu. Azpimarragarria da baserritik kale-girora egon den aldaketa. Legeak baserri giroko printzipio eratzaile batzuk (jabetzaren funtzio soziala) mantendu arren, legegilearen ikuskera modernoago bat ageri da testuan. Aurrekoaz gain, askatasun zibila foru legearen oinarrizko printzipioa dela adieraz daiteke. Lege berriak bere baitan du zuzenbide tradizional eta ohiturazkoaren ondarea bizirik mantentzea eta aprobetxatzea, begiak egungo munduan eta egungo Euskal Herrian jarrita. Aldi berean eutsi egiten dio jabetza-eskubideak gure lege zaharretan eduki duen izaera solidarioari eta askatasun zibilaren berrespen kategorikoari
The new Law 5/2015 on Basque Civil Law, of June 25, has brought about several modifications, among which the transition from the rural world to the urban world should be highlighted. Although the Law preserves some constitutive principles of the rural world (social function of property), the text denotes a more modern conception of the society to which it is addressed, as reflected in the basic principle of civil liberty, typical of the laws forals Consequently, the new Law integrates within it the living heritage of customary and traditional Law with a focus on the current reality and on the Euskadi of today. Likewise, the solidarity character that property law always had in mind is preserved. the old laws and the principle of civil liberty is reinforced
La nueva Ley 5/2015 de Derecho Civil Vasco, de 25 de junio, ha acarreado varias modificaciones entre las que cabe destacar la transición del mundo rural al mundo urbano. Si bien la Ley conserva algunos principios constitutivos del mundo rural (función social de la propiedad), el texto denota una concepción más moderna de la sociedad a la que se dirige, como lo refleja el principio básico de la libertad civil, propio de las leyes forales. Por consiguiente, la nueva Ley integra en su seno el patrimonio vivo del Derecho consuetudinario y tradicional con una mirada puesta en la realidad actual y en la Euskadi de hoy día. Asimismo, se conserva el carácter solidario que el derecho de propiedad siempre tuvo en las leyes viejas y se refuerza el principio de libertad civil
