'Al compás de la semana' de Roxane, o una sección para mujeres encubierta (1927-1930).

"Al compás de la semana" ("The Beat of the Week") it is a section atZig-Zagmagazine published between 1927 and 1930. In this section converged both Elvira Santa Cruz (Roxane)'s editorial action and writing. In this article, on the one hand, we analyze the character of the section, and we argue that "Al compás de la semana" exposes a chronicler-editor which work overflows the boundaries of what it might be expected for a current affaires section.On the other hand, we discuss this section from a gender perspective. We observe "women" or "feminine condition's" as a magazine content that in this section takes on an unusual tone for this kind of magazine. The hypothesis of this article is that, behind the photographs that were included in the section and that referred, most of the times, to the social topic, the trip (or holidays) or to the political and cultural ones, asui generisfeminine section is hidden. That means a section whose written content accounts issues associated with the female condition, with a proposal close to some feminist ideas from the early twentieth century.

"Al compás de la semana" es una sección de la revistaZig-Zagque se publicó entre 1927 y 1930 en la que convergió la acción editorial y escritural de Elvira Santa Cruz (Roxane). En este artículo, por un lado, se reflexiona sobre el carácter de la sección y se plantea que "Al compás de la semana" muestra a una cronista-editora cuyo trabajo desborda los límites de lo que se podría esperar para una sección de crónica de actualidad. Por otro lado, se analiza la sección desde una perspectiva de género, en el que el contenido "mujeres" o "condición femenina" cobra un tono inusitado en la revistaZig-Zagde inicios de siglo XX. La hipótesis de este artículo es que, tras las fotografías que se incluían en la sección y que remitían, la mayoría de las veces, al tópico social, del viaje (o veraneo) o a la actualidad política y cultural, se esconde una sección femeninasui generis; es decir, una sección cuyo contenido escrito da cuenta de temáticas asociadas a la condición femenina, con una propuesta cercana a ciertas ideas feministas de inicios de siglo XX
