Algunas características de los estudiantes de la Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central

Este artículo presenta algunas de las características de los estudiantes de los Programas de Educación Superior en el primer periodo académico de 2007, información obtenida con la aplicación de una encuesta poblacional a 314 estudiantes escogidos por Muestreo Aleatorio Simple, investigando variables relacionadas con aspectos personales y familiares, laborales, académicos y de apoyo institucional. Se presentan las prevalecías por cada variable y comentarios relacionados con: localidad donde viven, estrato económico, género, edad, estado civil, número de hijos, ocupación, ingresos económicos, condiciones académicas y factores que inciden en el desempeño académico

This article presents some characteristics of the Superior Education Careers Students, this information was obtained with the application of an inquiry in the first academic period of 2007, we worked with 314 students, they were chosen through the technical of simple sample alloy; we researched different variables related with the following topics: Human being, Family, Work, Education and Institutional Assistance. The inquiry demands information about place where the students live, economic situation, genre, age, civil state, number of children, occupation, profits, educative loans to pay their studies, what are the reasons of their academic development?, etc
