Altzako hiribildu desagertuaren inguruan, Espainiako gerra zibilaren ezagutzari dagokionez egungo egoera zein den aditzera ematen duen sarrera. Altzako hiribilduaren lurraldea, gaur egun, Altza, Bidebieta-Mirakruz eta Intxaurrondo auzoetan eta Martuteneren zati batean banatuta dago. Memoria Historikoaren Legea sortu zenetik hamabi urte igaro ondoren, gaur egun arte ez da inolako lanik egin egungo ekialdeko barrutiaren eremuan. Lan guztiak Donostiako hirigunean zentratu dira, Altzako hiribildu desagertuaren historia eta idiosinkrasia alde batera utzita (1940an erantsi zuten hiriburura). Lanak ibilbide bat egiten du Altzako hiribilduaren nondik norako politikoak aztertzen, eta garai hauek barne hartzen ditu: Bigarren Errepublika, Fronte Popularra boterera iristea, Gerra Zibilaren hasiera, Tokiko Defentsa Batzordearen sorrera, Mirakruzeko "txeka", matxinatuen ebakuazioa eta ondorengo etorrera, errepresio fi sikoa eta ekonomikoa gatazkan, erbestea, Altza Donostiarekin bat egitea eta Bidebietako Tiro Nazionaleko fusilamenduak
Introduction to the current state and situation of knowledge of the Spanish Civil War in the setting of the no-longer-existing borough known as the Villa de Alza, whose territory is now divided into the districts of Altza, Bidebieta-Miracruz, Intxaurrondo, and part of Martutene. Today, twelve years after the Historical Memory Law was created, no work has as yet been carried out in the fi eld of the current East District, with all the work having focussed on the nucleus of San Sebastian, circumventing the history and idiosyncrasy of the no-longer-existing Villa itself, which would be integrated to the capital in 1940. The work studies the subject, analysing the political ins and outs of the Villa de Alza during the Second Republic, the arrival of the People's Front to power, the early days of the Civil War, creation of the local Defence Council, the "checa" secret prison, the evacuation and subsequent arrival of the insurgents, physical and economic repression during the confl ict, exile, the merger of Alza with San Sebastián and the fi ring squad executions at the Bidebieta National Shooting Range
Introducción sobre el estado y situación actual del conocimiento de la guerra civil espa-ñola en el entorno de la desaparecida Villa de Alza, cuyo territorio queda actualmente dividido en los barrios de Altza, Bidebieta-Miracruz, Intxaurrondo, y parte de Martutene. Tras doce años desde la creación de Ley de Memoria Histórica, no se ha realizado hasta la fecha ningún trabajo en el terreno del actual Distrito Este, centrándose todos los trabajos en el casco de San Sebastián, obviando la historia e idiosincrasia propia de la desaparecida Villa, que sería fusionada a la capital en 1940. El trabajo hace un recorrido analizando los entresijos políticos de la Villa de Alza duran-te la Segunda República, la llegada del Frente Popular al poder, los comienzos de la Guerra Civil, la creación de la Junta de Defensa local, la "checa" de Miracruz, la evacuación y poste-rior llegada de los sublevados, la represión física y económica durante el confl icto, el exilio, la fusión de Alza con San Sebastián y los fusilamientos en el Tiro Nacional de Bidebieta
