"Juego artístico con el látigo y la tortura". Jean Améry sobre la tortura en el cine

This paper presents the film reviews written by Jean Améry regarding torture. Given the importance of Améry's reflections on torture gives, it seems relevant to take into account his assessments of its different filmic representations. The rejection of any form of aesthetization and the defense of filmic realism has an ethical and political motivation, but this finally proves not to be enough to address the representation of torture

Este artículo presenta las críticas cinematográficas de Jean Améry de filmes cuya temática está relacionada con la tortura. La importancia de las reflexiones de este autor sobre tortura concede interés a sus valoraciones de las diferentes representaciones cinematográficas de la misma. El rechazo de cualquier propuesta estetizante y la defensa del realismo fílmico posee una motivación ética y política, pero se muestra finalmente insuficiente para abordar la problemática de la representación de la tortura
