This is a research paper whose objective is to evaluate the adjustment of the journal CIENCIA UNEMI to international standards of presentation of regular publications and the evaluation of the quality of the editorial process in this journal. The sample was represented by the numbers ranging from 2008 to 2015 of the journal CIENCIA UNEMI. For the development of the methodology was used an adaptation of the evaluation model proposed by Delgado Lopéz-Cozar et al. (2006), who take into consideration the standards ISO 8, ISO 2015, CBE 1994, UKSG 1994, ANSI, ACS 1997, among others. The results showed an average of normalization of 84%, which was obtained from those sections considered fundamental in the current mechanisms of scientific dissemination. Analysis of standardization and the editorial process indicates a good level; however, improvements are recommended
Este es un artículo de investigación cuyo objetivo es evaluar el ajuste de la revista CIENCIA UNEMI a las normas internacionales de presentación de publicaciones periódicas y la evaluación de la calidad de su proceso editorial. La muestra estuvo representada por los números comprendidos desde el año 2008 hasta el 2015 de la revista. Para el desarrollo de la metodología se utilizó una adaptación del modelo de evaluación propuesta por Delgado Lopéz-Cozar et al. (2006) quienes toman en consideración las normas ISO 8, ISO 2015, CBE 1994, UKSG 1994, ANSI, ACS 1997, entre otras. Los resultados arrojaron una media general de normalización de 84%, la cual se obtuvo de aquellas secciones consideradas fundamentales en los mecanismos actuales de difusión científica. El análisis de la normalización y del proceso editorial indica un buen nivel, no obstante, se recomiendan mejoras
