This article looks to take into consideration the process of resistance and negotiation undertaken by the different components of the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, Comerciales y Políticas (FCECP) of the National University of the Litoral during the years 1963- 1965, to the creation of the National Institute for the Foreign Service (ISEN). This process occurred in a moment in which is possible to observe an increment, both in the quantity and the quality, of the State's demands towards the University System. This articles, revisits these events and frame them in the broader context of the relationship between State and University in the 1950's and 1960's. More precisely, it uses this case to illustrate the Universitys reaction to the States attempts to became the sole institution authorized to train professional able to be inducted to Civil Service. In order to accomplish these goals, we take into consideration the evolution of the states demands to the University System to re-signify FCECP's resistance to the creation of the ISEN
El presente trabajo busca relevar el proceso de resistencia y negociación que la comunidad académica de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, Comerciales y Políticas (FCECP) de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral llevó adelante entre los años 1963 y 1965 con motivo de la creación del Instituto del Servicio Exterior de la Nación (ISEN). Estos hechos se inscriben en el marco mucho más amplio de las relaciones entre la universidad y el Estado en las décadas de 1950 y 1960 e ilustran la reacción de las universidades frente al intento del Estado de avanzar sobre la capacidad de formar profesionales aptos para el servicio público. Para poder hacerlo, realizamos un recuento de la evolución de las demandas del Estado al sistema universitario como una manera de resignificar la resistencia de la FCECP a la creación del ISEN
