This article aims to recover the figure of Consuelo González Ramos (Celsia Regis) as one of the most outstanding representatives of the Spanish feminist movement of the early 20th century. She is considered a forerunner of Spanish women's associations, but also a pioneer in undertaking different socio-economic projects aimed at providing women with adequate training to enable them to enter the labour market as a preliminary step to their emancipation. The analysis of the historical documentation generated by the protagonist herself, together with archival sources, will allow us to understand the motives that drove her to carry out this social work, as well as to clarify relevant data from her biography that will show her to be a charismatic and fighter woman. These characteristics meant that she took on numerous challenges in areas so far not reserved for women
Este artículo pretende recuperar la figura de Consuelo González Ramos (Celsia Regis) como una de las representantes más destacadas del movimiento feminista español del primer tercio del siglo xx. Maestra de formación, puede considerarse una precursora del asociacionismo femenino español, pero fundamentalmente debe ser reconocida como una pionera a la hora de emprender di- versos proyectos socio-económicos destinados a ofrecer a las mujeres una formación adecuada que les permitiera promocionar en el ámbito laboral como medida previa a su emancipación. El análisis de la documentación hemerográfica generada por la propia protagonista, junto a las fuentes archivís- ticas, permitirá comprender los motivos que la impulsaron a llevar a cabo esta obra social, así como aclarar datos relevantes de su biografía que la expondrán como una mujer carismática, luchadora y con una gran iniciativa propia; unas características que la condujeron a asumir numerosos retos en ámbitos hasta el momento ajenos al sexo femenino
