This article explores the relationship between pornography and prostitution. First, it shows how the consumption of pornography is one of the main gateways to prostitution, highlighting how its visualization facilitates access to prostitution and the exercise of violence against women in this space. It also shows how pornography continues to play a fundamental role in the prostitution field, as it is reproduced in these places to encourage demand. Secondly, it reveals how a significant percentage of women in prostitution are also used by the porn industry for the production of pornographic material, forcing them to be filmed. Thirdly, it traces the close relationship between survivors of sexual exploitation, prostitution and pornography, and the feminist movement in which many of its victims are integrated to demand the abolition of these practices of sexual violence. It concludes, therefore, an evident feedback between the prostitutional system and the pornographic industry, inferring that without the abolition of both, the integrity and freedom of women and girls will not be possible
El presente artículo explora la relación entre la pornografía y la prostitución. En primer lugar, plantea cómo el consumo de pornografía supone una de las principales puertas de entrada a la prostitución, poniendo en evidencia que su visualización facilita el acceso a la prostitución y el ejercicio de violencia contra las mujeres en este espacio. También aborda cómo la pornografía sigue teniendo un papel fundamental dentro del terreno prostibulario, pues se reproduce en estos lugares para animar la demanda. En segundo lugar, pone de manifiesto cómo un porcentaje significativo de mujeres en situación de prostitución son también utilizadas por la industria del porno para la producción de material pornográfico, obligándolas a ser filmadas. En tercer lugar, traza la estrecha relación entre supervivientes de explotación sexual, prostitucional y pornográfica, y el movimiento feminista en el que muchas de sus víctimas se integran para reivindicar la abolición de estas prácticas de violencia sexual. Se concluye, por tanto, una evidente retroalimentación entre el sistema prostitucional y la industria pornográfica, deduciéndose que sin la abolición de ambos la integridad y libertad de mujeres y niñas no será posible
