Análisis cronológico del Trienio Liberal en la región extremeña

Real Sociedad Económica Extremeña de Amigos del País de Badajoz 2023

Se ofrece un análisis cronológico de la evolución histórica de Extremadura a lo largo del Trienio Liberal. Se estudia el desarrollo de las instituciones en la antigua provincia de Extremadura y en las nuevas provincias de Badajoz y Cáceres (Jefatura Política, Capitanía General, Diputaciones, Milicia Nacional, diputados en Cortes extremeños, ayuntamientos). También se analizan otros aspectos destacados de este período histórico: desamortización, tensiones entre el liberalismo y la insurgencia realista, manifestaciones políticas y lúdicas liberales, asociaciones secretas (masones y comuneros), asociaciones patrióticas, tertulias políticas, periódicos, el clero, la Sociedad Económica de Badajoz, el importante papel de la ciudad de Badajoz, etc. Y se culmina con la intervención decisiva de los Cien Mil Hijos de San Luis en el final del Trienio, apuntándose brevemente la represión posterior de la Década Ominosa (1823-1833)

A chronological analysis of the historical development of Extremadura over the Liberal Triennium is offered. The devolopment of the political institutions in the former province of Extremadura and in the new provinces of Badajoz and Cáceres (Political Head, Captaincy General, provincial deputations, National Militia, deputies for Extremadura in the Cortes, municipalities) is studied. Further highlights of the historical period are also analysed: ecclesiastical confiscation, tensions between liberalism and royalist insurgency, liberal political and playful demonstrations, secret associations (Freemasons, Comuneros), patriotic societies, political gathering, newspapers, clergy, the Royal Economic Society of Badajoz, the important role played by the city of Badajoz, etc. To conclude, the article deals with the decisive intervention of the "Hundred Thousand Sons of Saint Louis" at the end of the Liberal Triennium, pointing briefly to the subsequent political repression of theOminous Decade
