In this article I refl ect on the construction of more-than-human existential pacts, or ways of cohabiting, to face the climatic collapse and mass extinction that characterize our time. From an essayistic approach, the refl ections focus on the challenges that the human era imposes to postpone the end of the world. To this purpose, I put into dialogue emerging concepts - terms that, in my view, make up a grammar of the Anthropocene - and fragments of my childhood memories in the Amazon riverside communities of Santarém, west of Pará state, Brazil
Neste artigo reflito sobre a construção de pactos existenciais mais-que-humanos, ou formas de coabitar, para fazer frente ao colapso climático e à extinção em massa que caracterizam nosso tempo. As reflexões focalizam, a partir de uma abordagem ensaística, os desafios que a era humana impõe para adiar o fim do mundo. Com esse propósito, coloco em diálogo conceitos emergentes - termos que compõem a meu ver uma gramática do Antropoceno - e fragmentos de minhas memórias de infância na região de várzea de Santarém, no Oeste do Pará
