Desarrollo motor en niños de 5 a 12 años con discapacidad visual. Una revisión sistemática

Objective: To describe the tests used to assess motor development in children aged 5 to 12 with visual impairment. Method: A systematic review was carried out using the electronic databases: Web Of Science, Ebsco host and the United States National Library of Medicine. The search range was from October to December 2020. They were consulted with the English terms motor development, motor skills, visual impairment, blindness, students. Results: 47 studies were identified in relation to the topic to be studied, where five met the inclusion criteria for a complete reading. From this, three tests were identified, TGMD-2, the Frostig test sub-scale for eye-manual coordination and the Coordination Disorders Questionnaire. Conclusion: It was observed that the most used test was the TGMD-2 applied to children between 6 and 12 years old with visual impairment. The main adaptations that were made in the tests were in their materials, instructions and the perception of movement through the tactile sense

Objetivo: Describir los test utilizados para evaluar el desarrollo motor en niños de 5 a 12 años con discapacidad visual. Método: Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática utilizando las bases de datos electrónicas: Web Of Science, Ebsco host y Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de los Estados Unidos. El rango de búsqueda fue desde octubre a diciembre de 2020. Se consultaron con los términos en inglés motor development, motor skills, impairment visual, blindness, students. Resultados: Se identificaron 47 estudios en relación a la temática a estudiar, donde cinco cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión para hacer su lectura completa. A partir de ello, se identificó tres test, TGMD-2, la sub-escala de test de Frostig para la coordinación oculo-manual y el Cuestionario de trastornos de la coordinación. Conclusión: Se observó que el test más utilizado fue el TGMD-2 aplicado a niños entre los 6 y 12 años con discapacidad visual. Las principales adaptaciones que se hicieron en los test fue en sus materiales, instrucciones y la percepción del movimiento por medio del sentido táctil
