This paper intends to address the functioning of military justice in Argentina during the so-called "National Organization" of the second half of the 19th century. We will review the influence and survival of the Spanish military tradition together with the different modalities used by the military authorities to repress military crimes. Aspects related to the management of internal discipline and punitive practices applied within the units of the Army of the Line will be examined, together with the path of military legislation in Argentina at the end of the century
Este trabajo se propone abordar el funcionamiento de la justicia militar en Argentina durante el período de la llamada "Organización Nacional" iniciado a mediados del siglo XIX. Revisaremos la influencia y supervivencia de la tradición militar española expresada en las ordenanzas militares dictadas por Carlos III (1768) junto con las distintas modalidades utilizadas por las autoridades militares para reprimir los delitos militares. Para este análisis se ahondará en aspectos relacionados con el manejo de la disciplina interna y la justicia militar que se expresan en las prácticas punitivas aplicadas en diversas situaciones dentro de las unidades del Ejército de Línea, junto con las leyes y decretos militares sancionados durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX en Argentina
