Necesidad y efectividad de ...
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of an educational intervention in the improvement of information/knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and values in matter of sexual-affective education in teenagers. Design: Quasi-experimental ecologic study. Subjects and metodology: In the beginning the study was used in 205 students of 3rd and 4th grade of secundary education (with ages between 14 and 16 years old) of three high schools of secundary education in the towns of La Puebla de Cazalla and Marchena (Sevilla) during the school year 2022-2023. They answered a self-made survey (8 test questions with 4 choices) pre and post the educational intervention in the matter of general assumptions about sexuality, contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted diseases. Results: Globally, we observed a significant increase of the responses in the expected option in the majority of the questions at the end of the intervention and, consequently, a significant decrease of the responses in the wrong answer of the test. Discussion: Despite the restrictions of the study, the observation and comparison of the answer propotions in pre and post test evidenced the effectiveness of the sexual-affective educational intervention between teenager population. The differences, all of them meaningful, seem to have a bigger impact between the students of third grade. Conclusions: It's necessary to promote the sexual-affective education in teenagers, as well as trying to start this type of education in early ages, because of them being shown as the most benefited ones from this intervention. Nursery, as an agent of health, plays an esential role in this sector of the population with the aim of answering the doubts raised by teenagers and achieving a responsible action
Objetivo: Valorar la efectividad de una intervención educativa en la mejora de información/conocimientos, actitudes, creencias y valores en materia de educación afectivo-sexual a adolescentes. Diseño: Estudio ecológico cuasi-experimental. Sujetos y metodología: Inicialmente se estudiaron 205 alumnos de 3º y 4º ESO (edades comprendidas entre 14 y 16 años) pertenecientes a tres institutos de educación secundaria de las localidades de La Puebla de Cazalla y Marchena (Sevilla) durante el curso escolar 2022-2023. Respondieron un cuestionario autoadministrado (8 preguntas tipo test y 4 opciones de respuesta) previo y posterior a una intervención educativa en materia de generalidades sobre sexualidad, métodos anticonceptivos y enfermedades de transmisión sexual. Resultados: De forma global, se observó un aumento significativo de respuesta en la opción esperada en la mayoría de las preguntas al finalizar la intervención y consecuente disminución significativa de respuesta en la opción inicialmente más errónea. Discusión: Pese a las limitaciones del estudio, la observación y comparación de las proporciones de respuesta en los cuestionarios previos y posteriores han evidenciado la efectividad de la intervención educativa afectivo-sexual entre la población adolescente. Las diferencias, significativas todas, parecen haber tenido un mayor impacto entre los alumnos de 3º ESO. Conclusiones: Es necesario promover la educación afectivo-sexual en adolescentes, así como plantear el inicio de esta educación en edades más tempranas, puesto que han demostrado ser los más beneficiados de la intervención. La enfermería, como agente de salud, juega un papel fundamental en este sector de la población con el objetivo de dar respuesta a las dudas planteadas por la adolescencia y lograr una actuación responsable
