Descripción del título
This canvas is devoted to the study of the nervous system. There are three main parts: pieces of the human nervous system in the upper portion, male genitalia in the lower portion, and a cutaway of a human skull featuring the endocranium in the centre. The top left of the canvas, a sacrum is depicted, with the dorsal venous plexus directly beneath. In the upper centre is a large figure (92 cm tall) depicting the cranial and spinal nervous system. Also featured in this figure is the underside of the brain stem with the olfactory bulb, optic nerve, spinal cord and spinal nerves. To the right of the figure, is the sympathetic nervous system, with the heart nerves, Vieussens' arterial ring, and the hypogastric plexus. On the lower left portion of the canvas is an overview of the male genitourinary system, including the diaphragm with its central tendon, the orifice of the inferior vena cava, and the vas deferens. Below are figures of an undissected vagina and adrenal glands. At the bottom right of the canvas are figures of the erectile appartaus, testis, testicular vein, prostate, and seminal vessels
