The article investigates the discursive practices of the Chilean State in relation to women who practice prostitution, sex trade or sex work. We perform an analysis based on the studies made on discourse about the issue, from pragmatic and realizative perspectives of the language. From the 18 regulations and laws we identify acts of speech, such as implicatures or indirect reference and interdiscourses. In the results we present three categories as we call them: definitions, prescriptions and transformations. The definitions are used to describe an activity and the intervention agents. Prescriptions materialize the discourse through obligations and instructions dictated to impose social control. And the transformations, which is related to the first and the second, creates a new situation regarding the activity through the updating of mechanisms and the definition of new subjects. We conclude that the rules produce discursive practices for the social control of the bodies of prostitutes and sex workers, placing them in the line of abnormality, in this way they define a behavioral guide for the rest of women
El artículo indaga las prácticas discursivas del Estado chileno en relación con las mujeres que ejercen la prostitución, comercio sexual o trabajo sexual. Hicimos un análisis basado en los estudios del discurso desde una perspectiva pragmática y realizativa del lenguaje, a partir de 18 normativas y leyes identificamos actos del habla, implicaturas e interdiscursos. En los resultados planteamos tres categorías conforme que denominamos: definiciones, prescripciones y transformaciones. Las definiciones son usadas para la descripción de la actividad y los sujetos de intervención. Las prescripciones materializan el discurso mediante obligaciones e instrucciones dictadas para el control social. Y las transformaciones, relacionadas con los dos primeros, crean una nueva situación respecto a la actividad, mediante la actualización de mecanismos y la definición de nuevos sujetos. Concluimos que las normativas producen prácticas discursivas para el control social de los cuerpos de las prostitutas, de las mujeres que ejercen comercio sexual y las trabajadoras sexuales, situándolas en la línea de la anormalidad, de esta forma definen una guía de comportamiento para el resto de las mujeres.
