Last twenty years of the XIXth century constituted in Argentina times on which diverse plant you programmatic acquired organic and articulated form. Los últimos veinte años del siglo XIX constituyeron en Argentina tiempos en los que diversos planteos programáticos adquirieron forma orgánica y articulada. Entre 1880 y 1916 se desarrollaron las luchas fundamentales que abrieron espacio a un variado debate que dio lugar a la construcción de lo que hoy conocemos bajo el nombre de sistema educativo argentino. Nos interesa destacar en este artículo, por un lado, la pluralidad de tendencias en pugna no puede ser reducida por la imposición ni subsumida en la exclusividad atribuida a un origen positivista.
