Andrés Galdeano: Ceramista ...
This paper is devoted to an artist of great personality, provocative and independent who lived in Zaragoza since 1959 until his death in 2004. In 1967 he founded Galdeano Art Gallery, which he would run until 1971, a space exhibiting very prominent Spanish artists, of changing abstract trends. His artistic evolution begins with a brief phase as a painter but soon he found in ceramics his gear with creativity through Abstract Expressionism. Author of large murals in public spaces in New York, Austria and Spain between 1965 and 1983, he abandons ceramics in 1983 to devote itself to painting up to 2004 with Abstract Expressionism as artistic tendency with, occasionally, the incorporation of portraits of great Spanish writers and philosophers, two of his passions as a great reader
Este artículo está dedicado a un artista de gran personalidad, provocador e independiente que vive en Zaragoza desde el año 1959 hasta su muerte en el 2004. Entre 1967 y 1971 funda y dirige la Sala de Exposiciones Galdeano, que se caracterizó por exponer a muy destacados artistas españoles, dentro de cambiantes tendencias abstractas. Su evolución artística comienza con una breve fase como pintor pero muy pronto encuentra en la cerámica su engranaje con la creatividad a través del expresionismo abstracto. Autor de grandes murales en espacios públicos de Nueva York, Austria y España entre 1965 y 1983, abandona la cerámica para consagrarse a la pintura entre 1983 y 2004 con el expresionismo abstracto como tendencia artística y, en ocasiones, la incorporación de rostros sobre grandes literatos y filósofos españoles, dos de sus pasiones como gran lector
