In the 1950s', Dalí introduces the figure of a rhinoceros into his iconographic repertoire. This will be a recurring motive in the middle years of his career, born -through paranoiac critical potions- from Lautréamont, God and Vermeer of Delft. This articles goal is to clarify the origin of this fondness

En la década de los cincuenta, Dalí introducirá la figura del rinoceronte en su repertorio iconográfico. Se trata de un motivo recurrente en toda su producción meridiana, que nace -a través de pócimas paranoico críticas- de Lautréamont, Dios y Vermeer de Delft. Lo que sigue, pretende esclarecer los porqués de esta querencia
