The present work aims to elucidate in what sense the idea of event is present in the philosophy of Michel Foucault, more as a practical operator in the mode of investigation than as pure theoretical concept. Going through some of the works collected inDits et Écrits, we try to show the real appearance of such a concept through the philosopher's approach to history, in the elucidation of the relations between knowledge and power. The classic examples of research (from madness to sexuality through imprisonment) served as a basis for establishing the relation between the event and the philosophical practice that is characteristic of it
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo elucidar en qué sentido la idea de acontecimiento está presente en la filosofía de Michel Foucault, más como operador práctico en el modo de investigación que como puro concepto teórico. Pasando puntualmente por algunos trabajos reunidos en la obraDits et Écrits, se intenta mostrar la real aparición de tal concepto a través de la aproximación del filósofo con la historia, en la elucidación de las relaciones entre el saber y el poder. Los ejemplos clásicos de investigación (de la locura a la sexualidad, pasando por la prisión) sirvieron de base para establecer la relación entre el acontecimiento y la práctica filosófica que le es característica.
