Amadís de Gaula, un rey que...
This work analyses Amadís of Gaul's death in the Lisuarte de Grecia of Juan Díaz (1526) from the point of view of the scenography and speech. The above mentioned death joins two traditions that complement each other: that of the Passion with the Virgin, represented in this case by Oriana, and that of the ceremonial of the burial and grave of the monarchs in the Middle Ages. These questions will be analyzed, as well as the lament for the death and the preparation for the decease guided by diverse Biblical passages and connected with artes bene moriendi. Finally, this ceremonial is related to the death of other famous literary knights
En este trabajo se abordará la muerte de Amadís de Gaula en el Lisuarte de Grecia de Juan Díaz (1526) desde el punto de vista escenográfico y del discurso. Dicha muerte aúna dos tradiciones que se complementan: la de la liturgia pasionaria con la Virgen como figura central representada en este caso por Oriana, y la del ceremonial propio del entierro y sepultura de los monarcas que hunde sus raíces en la Edad Media. Se analizarán estas cuestiones, así como el lamento y el duelo por el óbito y la preparación para el mismo guiada por diversos pasajes bíblicos y conectada con las artes de bien morir. Finalmente, se relaciona dicho ceremonial con el de otros personajes caballerescos literarios del ciclo y ajenos a este
