Based on a review of articles (1973-1988), this paper focuses on the response that Qué Pasa magazine gave to the problem of Chile's international isolation during the civil-military regime. The first part analyzes the emergence of a critical approach to the regime's foreign policy and to the effects that the repressive practices made for the country's image. The second part, on the other hand, deals with the function the magazine had, to generate consensus around the dictatorship and its country project, and the interpretation of the magazine regarding the political and socio-cultural crisis of the countries of advanced capitalism
A partir de una revisión de artículos (1973-1988), este trabajo se enfoca en la respuesta que la revista Qué Pasa le dio a la problemática del aislamiento internacional de Chile durante el régimen cívico-militar. La primera parte analiza el surgimiento de un planteamiento crítico respecto a la política exterior del régimen y a los efectos de las prácticas represivas para la imagen del país. La segunda, en cambio, aborda la función que tuvo, para generar consenso en torno a la dictadura y su proyecto país, la lectura de la revista respecto de la crisis política y socio-cultural de los países de capitalismo avanzado
