Este ensayo plantea una lectura feminista de la novela La Gringa (1935), del autor guatemalteco Oscar Wyld Ospina. Para ello, se realiza un ejercicio de identificación y análisis de las figuras femeninas y de lo femenino en la obra. Ambas se esbozan a partir de las consideraciones patriarcales descriptivas y normativas de qué es y cómo debe ser una mujer, contrastadas con los estereotipos históricos que penden sobre las mujeres que osan transgredir las delgadas líneas de las diferencias de género

This paper aims to present a feminist approach to Oscar Wyld Ospina's novel La Gringa (1935). First, there is an identification of female characters as they are outlined by patriarchal norms and descriptions of what is and how it should be a woman. Later, they are contrasted with historical female stereotypes that hang over those women who dare to trespass gender differences
