Análisis de la redes sociales: Una manera de entender los problemas de salud y alimentación

El análisis de redes sociales se sustenta en áreas disciplinares de psicología social, sociología y antropología, además de apoyarse en el análisis matemático de matrices y gráficas. Es un análisis estructural o socio métrico que permite reconocer los patrones de relación y funciones de los vínculos principales en la red social de un individuo. Determina el nivel de apoyo emocional o material, la dinámica de relaciones y el grado de influencia. Actualmente dicho análisis ha cobrado relevancia para el entendimiento e intervención en problemas de salud y nutrición

Social network analysis is based on disciplinary areas of social psychology, sociology and anthropology, as well as on mathematical analysis of matrices and graphs. It is a structural or socio-metric analysis that allows the recognition of relationship patterns and functions of the main links in an individual's social network. It determines the level of emotional or material support, the dynamics of relationships and the degree of influence. Currently, this analysis has gained relevance for the understanding and intervention in health and nutrition problems
