Territory, as a fundamental space for the cultural, political, demographic, social, and ecological existence of the indigenous peoples, is a key axis that will appear recurrently and prominently in the poetic productions of Mapuche authorship. This will happen more frequently after the 1970s and 1980s, with the imposition by the military regime of Law 2.568 on the division of communities and of Decree 701 on forestry development. This legislation opened the doors to the neoliberal extractivist model that has been consolidated to the present day in Southern Chile. This article analyses the role of the aesthetic-poetic productions of authors such as Sonia Caicheo, María Teresa Panchillo, and Rayen Kvyeh in the strengthening of Mapuche identity in accordance with the mobilisations in opposition to the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet and the neoliberal policies in Chile during the late 1980s and early 1990s

El territorio, como espacio fundamental para la existencia cultural, política, demográfica, social y ecológica de los pueblos originarios, es un eje clave que aparecerá recurrente y protagónicamente en las producciones poéticas de autoría mapuche. Esto sucederá con mayor frecuencia tras la década de los 70 y los 80, con motivo de la imposición por parte del régimen militar de la Ley 2.568 de división de comunidades y del Decreto 701 de fomento forestal, legislación que abría las puertas al modelo neoliberal extractivista consolidado en la actualidad en el sur chileno. En el presente artículo se analiza el papel de las producciones estético-poéticas de autoras como Sonia Caicheo, María Teresa Panchillo y Rayen Kvyeh en el fortalecimiento de la identidad mapuche en consonancia con las movilizaciones de oposición a la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet y a las políticas neoliberales en el Chile de finales de la década de los 80 y principios de los 90
