Technology advances very rapidly in each of the contexts in which human beings operate, which is why education must also move at the same speed as the modern world does, since this world requires professionals with skills. In accordance with the current context, the present research aimed to apply Desmos for the teaching of exponential functions, the applied methodology had two stages, in the first when the teaching-learning process of exponential functions is carried out in the traditional way. , that is, using the blackboard and liquid chalk for the explanation and development of the exercises of exponential functions, in this instance a lesson is applied and collected, in the second time the teaching-learning process is a combination between the traditional form of teaching and the use of the Demos application, an evaluation is taken again and the average grades obtained by the first semester students of the Public Administration degree at the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí Manuel Félix López are compared, achieving an increase of 14.1% in the academic performance of the students, in conclusion the Desmos graphing calculator allows the improvement in the academic performance of the students when teaching exponential functions
La tecnología avanza de manera muy acelerada en cada uno de los contextos en que se desenvuelve el ser humano, es por eso que la educación también debe ir a la misma velocidad que lo hace el mundo moderno, ya que este mundo exige de profesionales con competencias acordes con el contexto actual, la `presente investigación tuvo como objetivo aplicar Desmos para la enseñanza de las funciones exponenciales, la metodología aplicada tuvo dos tiempos, en la primera cuando se realiza el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las funciones exponenciales de la manera tradicional, es decir utilizando la pizarra y tizas líquidas para la explicación y desarrollo de los ejercicios de funciones exponenciales, en esta instancia se aplica una lección y se recogen, en el segundo tiempo el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje se hace combinación entre la forma tradicional de enseñar y el uso de la aplicación Demos, se vuelve a tomar nuevamente una evaluación y se compara el promedio de calificaciones obtenida por los estudiantes de primer semestre de la carrera Administración Pública de la Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí Manuel Félix López, lográndose un incremento del 14.1 % en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, en conclusión la calculadora gráfica de Desmos permite el mejoramiento en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes al momento de enseñar funciones exponenciales
